Newbie here. Found a late 50's verde 833a

I don't know about that.. Music just has never sounded right to me in Mono.. Has to be in Stereo !

I agree--live acoustic music (the way it was for thousands of years or more) will never come from one point source (if there's more than one musician)--there is always a spatial soundstage and you need a minimum of two speakers (stereo) to give you a spatial musical representation. Not to mention that I need stereo so that there is one channel/speaker for each of my (main) two multiple personalities!

Mono was good enough for Vincent van Gogh...

Unfortunately, after he "lost" an ear (which he may not have cut off by the way--see article below) he didn't have much choice!
